Our bylaws state that we cannot advertise political candidates during election times so please keep that in mind.

In case of non-profit or community organizations that directly benefit the citizens of Westview there may be a waive in the fees on a case by case basis. Please inquire with us if you think your advertisement might fit this description. These advertisements may also be subject to an “only if space permits” stipulation.

Jane’s Walk is a FREE, community-building weekend of citizen-lead walks that celebrate the diversity, joys, and challenges of city life.  Dedicated to Jane Jacobs (urban activist and author) Jane’s Walk continues the spirit of civic engagement advocated & achieved by Jacobs.

 This year exciting walks are lined up including along 33rd Street, a Haunted Tour, and the North East swale.  We don’t have many walks outside of downtown and we would like some of the other neighbourhoods to show us what you’re made of!

Jane’s Walk is a great opportunity to bring burning issues to light, share a lovely hidden gem, or discuss the history of a place. Whatever the motivation, we encourage you to consider leading a Jane’s Walk this year!  Jane’s Walk is May 6-8. The Growth Plan to Half a Million for the City of Saskatoon is near completion! 

Before we ask Council for a final decision on the Growth Plan, the City’s Administration will present the Growth Plan’s major initiatives in a public Growth Plan Summit event on March 14, 2016.  This Summit will include a presentation by Jarrett Walker, author of the book Human Transit.  After these presentations, stakeholders and residents can provide comments.  It’s important for City Council and the Administration to hear your perspective!  Please provide written comments during the Summit, or by requesting to speak through here.  Find more info on the Growth Plan at www.growingfwd.ca.
